We care for children and young people from birth to 18 years. Referrals are triaged by our clinical team, and families are contacted directly to arrange an appointment.
How to refer

Write your referral
Address it to a named clinician below, or to “Banksia Paediatrics” and we will allocate to the most appropriate clinician.

Referrals are triaged on receipt. The family is contacted directly, and you’ll receive correspondence after the first appointment.

- Developmental delay or regression
- ADHD, autism or neurodevelopmental concerns needing assessment
- Behavioural or emotional difficulties beyond primary-care scope
- Complex, chronic or undifferentiated paediatric presentations
- Growth, sleep or feeding concerns needing specialist review
- Coordination of a multidisciplinary plan

Refer to Thomas when a child presents with:
- Extreme fussy or restricted eating
- Faltering growth or weight concerns (under or over)
- Allergies, intolerances or restrictive diets needing management
- Reflux, constipation or other gut/feeding issues
- Coeliac, diabetes or other diet-managed conditions
- ARFID or feeding-aversion patterns

Refer to Eliza when a child presents with:
- Late or limited talking, small vocabulary
- Hard to understand / unclear speech for their age
- Trouble following instructions or understanding language
- Stutter or fluency concerns
- Feeding, chewing or swallowing difficulties
- Social communication / interaction differences

Paediatric Exercise Physiologist – Conveniently Active
Refer to Rhiannon when a child presents with:
- Delayed gross motor skills / clumsiness (DCD)
- Low muscle tone, poor coordination or balance
- Low strength, fitness or endurance
- Weight or metabolic health goals
- Chronic conditions benefiting from structured exercise (asthma, diabetes)
- Building confidence and participation in physical activity

Early Intervention Practitioner – Nurture Intervention
Refer to Sophie when a child presents with:
- Social/peer difficulties or emerging behavioural concerns
- Emotional regulation challenges
- Speech, language or communication delay
- Attention / executive functioning difficulties
- Developmental delay or missed milestones
- School-readiness or transition concerns
- Families needing NDIS early-intervention navigation

What to include
- Patient name, date of birth, Medicare number and parent/guardian contact details
- Reason for referral and relevant history
- Current medications and allergies
- Any recent investigations, reports or previous specialist correspondence
- Named clinician, if you have a preference If the referral is for a developmental, behavioural or complex medical review, we appreciate referrals requesting a "comprehensive management plan".
